VoIP telephony and CRM integration
Deploying an AI voice agent requires two separate connections: the phone line itself (business VoIP, your existing number) and the tool where your customer data lives (CRM, ATS). These two pieces don't do the same job, and conflating them is a common source of confusion when scoping a project.
The call flow on the VoIP side
The agent connects to your existing number: there's no need to give customers or prospects a new one to call. On inbound calls, the call reaches your VoIP line and the agent picks up in place of, or alongside, a human switchboard. On outbound calls, the agent dials from a number you identify, with the caller ID the recipient expects.
The data flow on the CRM side
During and after the call, the agent reads and writes into the tool your team already uses. Callifly connects to HubSpot, Salesforce and most business CRMs and ATSs via API or native connector, as detailed on the integrations page. At Cause à Effet, every pre-screening interview conducted by the agent is synced directly into Teamtailor, with no re-entry by the recruitment team.
What synchronization avoids
Without a CRM connection, every call handled by the agent would require manual re-entry to exist in your pipeline, cancelling out much of the time saved. With synchronization, the contact's status, the call summary and the data collected are up to date in the tool as soon as the call ends, ready for the team with no intermediate step.
Compatibility and setup
Technical compatibility is checked case by case, based on your VoIP and your CRM: some connectors are native, others go through a dedicated API integration. Full technical documentation is being published; contact our team to validate your stack's compatibility before rollout.
